Meet Carolyn

Carolyn Fisher, MBA, RD, CDN, CPHQ

I'm Carolyn, a Registered Dietitian and mom to Samuel. I have fifteen years of experience as a clinical dietitian treating a variety of patient issues. I started my career in a large 800-bed Level 1 trauma center in NYC's Lower East Side, acting as a nutrition support dietitian to intensive care patients, those with cancer, HIV, diabetes, heart disease, and a plethora of other diseases. After leaving the city, I started working at a pediatric long-term care facility, providing nutrition therapy for medically fragile children. I earned a Bachelor of Science from The University of Rhode Island, a Master of Business Administration from CUNY Barch College, and completed my clinical Dietetic Internship with Sodexo in the NY-metro area, gaining invaluable experience at several top-notch New York hospitals. I am a Registered Dietitian with the Commision on Dietetic Registration, and am a Certified Dietitian in NY and CT.  I also have experience working in hospital quality and have earned my Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality credential, which means I have a complete understanding of data and research, and can effectively discern which peer-reviewed research articles make for strong, evidence-based nutritional science recommendations.

My Mission

My mission is to support women in all phases of their life, from new, expecting, and hopeful moms and their children to perimenopause and beyond. Nutrition can make a large impact on a child’s first 1000 days, can help prepare for a healthy pregnancy, and can be a conjunctive therapy as women navigate menopause and other women's health conditions. It is my mission to guide women in giving themselves and their families the gift of health, nourishment and confidence.

As a new mother myself, I struggled with uncertainty. Hope Nutrition was founded from the deepest hopes of my soul for my own son, Samuel. Now, as I navigate infertility and the next phases of my life, my hope has taken a new shape.

I hope I can have a baby

I hope the pregnancy goes well

I hope I can make enough milk

I hope the milk is nutritious

I hope the baby thrives

I hope my child grows

I hope my cycle regulates

I hope my body heals
