Meet Carolyn
About Me
I'm Carolyn, a Registered Dietitian and mom to Samuel. I have fifteen years of experience as a clinical dietitian treating a variety of patient issues. I started my career in a large 800-bed Level 1 trauma center in NYC's Lower East Side, acting as a nutrition support dietitian to intensive care patients, those with cancer, HIV, diabetes, heart disease, and a plethora of other diseases. After leaving the city, I started working at a pediatric long-term care facility, providing nutrition therapy for medically fragile children. I earned a Bachelor of Science from The University of Rhode Island, a Master of Business Administration from CUNY Barch College, and completed my clinical Dietetic Internship with Sodexo in the NY-metro area, gaining invaluable experience at several top-notch New York hospitals. I am a Registered Dietitian with the Commision on Dietetic Registration, and am a Certified Dietitian in NY and CT. I also have experience working in hospital quality and have earned my Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality credential, which means I have a complete understanding of data and research, and can effectively discern which peer-reviewed research articles make for strong, evidence-based nutritional science recommendations.
Medical Nutrition Therapy Services
Virtual Initial Assessment: $225
Personalized Evaluation
The initial nutrition assessment begins with a short 15-minute screening call prior to our meeting to learn about your goals for our sessions and to get some initial information. The 60-minute initial session is a comprehensive assessment of your nutritional status where we review any current lab work, medical and social history, food preferences, dietary intake patterns, activity level, and any barriers to change. We will end the session with education and goal-setting with a tailored, achievable plan for your health.
Virtual Follow-up Assessment: $195
Continued goal setting and progress
In follow-up visits we will review progress and continue to work towards your goals while making meaningful and achievable adjustments.
In-Home Nutrition Assessment: $325
The same comprehensive initial assessment as above plus a nutrition-focused physical exam in the comfort of your home. This option is great for new moms and children.
